Report.. Ten new coaches in SPL



Ten coaches are preparing to introduce themselves in Saudi Professional League in the coming season after their clubs announced signing them.
In the coming report we will highlight the new comers in SPL:
1- Al-Hilal
Romanian coach Răzvan Lucescu was signed by Al-Hilal to lead the team in the new season, as he leads the runners-up camp in Linz, Austria.
Lucescu succeeded Croatian Zoran Mamic who left Riyadh-based team before the end of the last season.
2- Al-Ahli
Croatian coach Branko Ivanković who has a great experience in coaching will take charge of Al-Ahli in the coming season.
Branko joined Al-Ahli preparatory camp in Asutria to kickoff pre-season preparations.
3- Al-Taawoun
Al-Taawoun board renewed cooperation with the Portuguese school by signing Paulo Sergio to take charge of the team.
Sergio succeeded his compatriot Pedro Manuel who left the team despite winning The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup last season.
4- Al-Shabab
Argentinian coach Jorge Almiron arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday evening to take charge of Al-Shabab team.
Almorion replaced Romanian Marius Șumudică who left the team by the end of the last season.
5-Ettifaq
Ettifaq signed national coach Khalid Al-Atwi to lead the team in the coming season.
This step was taken as a result of the great results achieved by Al-Atwi with Saudi National Youth team who won Asian U-20 Tournament and qualified for FIFA U-20 World Cup.
6- Al-Wahda
Al-Wahda announced signing Croatian coach Cvitanović on one-year deal to lead the team in the coming season.
Al-Wahda were coached by three coaches last season whose names are: Fabio Carielle, Ahmed Hossam "Mido" and Alvaro Vidal.
7- Al-Faihaa
Al-Faihaa club signed Portuguese coach Jorge Simao, 42 years old, to lead the team in the coming season.
Simao experience is limited to the Portuguese League before taking charge of Al-Fihaa.
8-Al-Adala
The newly-promoted team will be coached by Tunisian Iskander Al-Qasri in the coming season.
Al-Qasri achieved great results with Union sportive de Tataouine in the Tunisian League although the team was newly-promoted also.
9- Abha
Tunisian coach AbdelRazak Al-Shabi will lead Abha in Saudi Professional League in the coming seasn.
Al-Shabi has several experiences in the Saudi League divisions with Al-Faisaly. Al-Jabalain, Al-Khaleej, Al-Qadsya, Al-Wahda and Al-Qaisoma.
10-Damac
Damac will depend on the Tunisian school in coaching in the coming season.
Tunisian coach Mohamed Al-Kouki will take charge of Damac in the coming season.
