Al-Faisaly goalkeeper Mostafa Malaeka applauded the level of performance of the Saudi goalkeepers in the Saudi Professional League in the last two seasons, hoping national keepers continue presenting the best levels to retain fans' confidence.
"I have succeeded in strengthening the stature of the Saudi keepers in Saudi Professional League in spite of the presence of foreign keepers", Malaeka said in a video posted through Al-Faisaly official Twitter account.
"The presence of the foreign keepers in SPL decreased the opportunities of national goalkeepers, although Saudi keepers proved themselves", he added.
The goalkeeper thanked his club for the confidence they gave him and making him number one choice although signing foreign keeper.
"The coming season will be tough as number of important players left the team, but new comers have great skills so they can close the gap and this was shown in the current camp.", Al-Malaeka concluded.
