Elierce Barbosa de Souza opened the score for Ettifaq, with an impressive long-range shot in the 37th minute, then Philip Kiss added the second goal in the 68th minute.

Hussien Al-Makwai closed the gap by scoring Al-Ahli first goal in the 79th minute.

Yocif Belaili netted two penalties for Al-Ahli in the 84th and 94th minutes to turn the game around.

Al-Ahli reached 33 points in the third place, while Etiffaq remained with 20 points in the 11th spot.
