The Saudi Pro League Association and SAIP discuss intellectual property with pro clubs

The Saudi Pro League Association (SPL), in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property,(SAIP), will hold an intellectual property induction workshop, for the clubs of both, Prince Mohammed bin Salman League Cup and Prince Mohammed Bin Salman First Division League.
The workshop, which will be hosted by the Crowne Plaza Hotel, is targeting marketing and media officials, as well as legal representatives of clubs, as it is considered the first fruits of the partnership between the association and the authority that was signed last month in Riyadh.
The Saudi League Association signed a memorandum of understanding with SAIP last December to raise awareness and respect for intellectual property rights, including trademarks, through the establishment of induction workshops, as well as the establishment of courses for club professionals to register and protect intellectual property rights of their clubs, and to access the sports community and promote the concept of intellectual property, in order to reduce violations of intellectual property rights and to take action to address the financial waste of clubs.
