SPL retains second on the list of the most valued leagues in Asia with spending SAR 1.6 billions



The deals signed by the Saudi Professional League clubs, on the January transfer window, led to increasing the marketing value of, Prince Mohammed bin Salman League for Professional Clubs to reach SAR 1.636 billions, according to "Transfer Market" the German website, that covers the news of the football transfers and the marketing values of the world league.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman League for Professional Clubs, retained second on the list of the Asian most valued leagues, behind the Chinese Super Leg (CSL), that valued at SAR 2.28 billions (€ 473.70 millions), while in the third place came the Japanese League (J1 League), valued at SAR 1.473 billions (€ 344.20 millions).
89 players were registered on the January transfer window, divided into 88 Saudi and foreign players and one player of foreign origin who was born in Saudi Arabia (Mawaled).
Ohod tops the list of the transfers in the winter market of 2019, by signing 12 players, six of them is Saudi, while the second half is foreign.
Al-Faisaly were the club with the fewest signings with making only one foreign deal.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation's Committee of Professionalism and Conditions of Players, opened the registration period that was exploited, by all the Saudi Pro League clubs, from the 7th of January till the 4th of February, with registering at least one foreign player.
Al-Wahda signed only foreign players, while Al-Ahli was the only club to sign a player of foreign origin who was born in Saudi Arabia (Mawaled).
The 47 foriegn players signed during the January transfer window came from 26 countries: Spain, Italy, Romania, Jordan, Sweden, Nigeria, Portugal, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Australia, Tunisia, Syria, Ghana, Belgium, Russia, Brazil, Chile, Congo, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, and Serbia.
