Alinma Bank Becomes the Latest Official Sponsor of MBS Pro League



The Saudi Pro League and Alinma Bank signed on Thursday an agreement with Alinma Bank to become the official banking sponsor of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Pro League.
The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the bank in Riyadh. Representing Alinma Bank was senior vice president Saleh bin Abdullah Al Zamie while the Saudi Pro League was represented by Chief Executive Officer Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Hamidi.
Alinma Bank’s sponsorship of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Pro League is part of its plans to engage with the sports and youth landscape of Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030 which emphasises the role of sports and a balanced, healthy lifestyle as a key pillar of quality of life as well as activating partnerships with the private sector to develop and promote healthy behaviour and support all sports to establish the country as a regional and international sporting powerhouse.
“Alinma Bank’s sponsorship of this prominent competition stems from its strategic vision aimed at boosting its contributions in sports,” said Al Zamie.
“We also aim to play role in enagageing with the youth as well as providing the best banking products and services through the latest technologies and quality standards in the banking industry.
“For Alinma Bank to get this opportunity as the first official banking sponsor for the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Pro League is a real honour; it enhances the bank’s position as a leading financial institution with a prominent role in the Saudi banking industry.”
In turn, SPL CEO Al Hamidi hailed the bank’s efforts and collaboration in completing the sponsorship deal, lauding it as evidence of the bank’s eagerness to support the sporting sector in the kingdom.
“We are pleased to have the first banking sponsor in the history of the league in Alinma Bank. This sponsorship is a key driver towards achieving SPL’s strategy to bring the competition to the forefront of football leagues worldwide, be it in terms of technical quality, marketing, financial or media aspects.
“Through signing this sort of agreements with corporations and institutions, we aim to diversify our portfolio of sponsors to develop the league for the best interests of football fans in Saudi Arabia.”
