SPL and LDI Organise Training Course for Club Doctors



The Saudi Pro League (SPL) in collaboration with the Leaders Development Institute’s Sports Medicine Academy, held over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, a training course for team doctors at SPL and First Division League clubs.
The course was presented by five lecturers: SVEXA co-founder and CEO Dr. Mikael Mattsson; Head of Sport Psychology at the Swedish Sport Confederation Joran Kentta; President of the Royal Society of Medicine Sports and Exercise Medicine Section Dr. Brinda Christopher; Head of Academy Physiotherapy at Leeds United FC Tay Albayrak and Sport Dietitian at the Swedish Sport Confederation Emma Lindblom.
Discussions revolved around injuries in football, sports psychology, nutrition and performance, training analytics to improve performance and reduce injury risks.
The aim of the course was to raise awareness amongst medical staff at clubs on the global best practices in the medical field through recruiting top lecturers in the industry.
