Al-Wahda club have confirmed Mario Cvitanović became their new coach starting from the next season of Saudi Professional League.
Cvitanović will start his adventure with Al-Wahda on the basis of three years’ experience in the Croatian League with Dinamo Zagreb.
The former defender took charge of Dinamo Zagreb II from 2015 until 2017, after succeeding Ivaylo Petev as a coach.
On 13 July 2017 he signed one-year contract as head coach of Dinamo Zagreb, first team.
He won the Croatian League in 2017-2018 season as this success led him to be named the best Croatian coach in 2018.
As a player he represented a lot of clubs, especially in the Italian League (Serie A) as he played for Hellas Verona, Genoa and Napoli before ending his career with German club Energie Cottbus.
