Roshn Saudi League action continues with midweek football as Monday, 28 August sees four games taking place, with five more on Tuesday in matchweek 4 of the competition, including a Riyadh derby.
The first of the nine encounters kicks-off at 18:00 on Monday with Al Fayha travelling to Abha. The visitors have five points to their name in seventh place while their hosts sit at 11th with three points from as many matches.
At 21:00, reigning champions Al Ittihad face sixth-placed Al Wehda in Mecca. The home side have six points, while their visitors top the table with the full nine.
Simultaneously, two sides with seven points each lock horns as Al Hilal welcome Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettidaq to the capital, while newly promoted Al Riyadh, with four points, travel to Buraidah to face bottom side Al Raed, who are yet to get off the mark.
The midweek action wraps up on Tuesday with five more matches, the earliest of which sees Damac facing Al Fateh at 18:00. The side from Khamis Mushait have just one point to their name in 12th place, while Slaven Bilic’s Al Fateh are fifth with four points.
Three hours later, four games kick-off simultaneously. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr face Riyadh rivals Al Shabab with both sides off form. A 5-0 win in the previous round saw Ronaldo strike a hat-trick and signalled Al Nassr’s first three points of the season, while Al Shabab remain without a win having drawn two of their three games so far and lost one.
Having been saved in extra time by a Franck Kessie goal against Al Okhdood, Al Ahli look to overtake their city rivals Al Ittihad on goal difference and continue their perfect start to the campaign when they welcome 12th place Al Tai to Jeddah.
Al Taawoun, with four points to their name, travel south to Najran where they take on newly promoted Al Okhdood who sit 14th with one point. Matchweek 4 concludes with Al Khaleej hosting Al Hazem in an early relegation six-pointer, with the home side still without points and their opponents on just one point following their promotion from the First Division League.
