GSA presents 1.64 billion as fiscal support for SPL clubs



His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud, chairman of the General Sports Authority, confirmed that GSA will continue presenting fiscal backing for all Saudi Professional League clubs.

GSA chairman said during "Support Clubs Strategy" conference that Prince Mohamed Bin Salman gave full sport for him, affirming the necessity of continuing support as this must be done according to a governance participates in organizing the administrative and financial work.

"Total support for the clubs reached SAR 2.5 billions, this can open prospects for clubs and athletes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia", Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud added.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud cleared the details of Support Clubs Strategy details for supporting Saudi Professional League clubs which will witness presenting SAR 1.64 billions.

Each club in Saudi Professional League will get 50 millions SAR, SAR 20 millions for developing governance organization, SAR 19 millions as a support linked to the development of infrastructure and clubs' institutions, one million for each game as a support linked to increasing the attendance in the added games, SAR 5 millions as a support linked to organizing the events which held on the sides of the games at the host club stadium in addition to 3 millions SAR linked to support of increasing clubs' attendance participation in all regions.

SPA chairman confirmed that Support Clubs Strategy will present comprehensive and sustainable solutions to approach the current status of the Saudi clubs and helping them to make their anticipated role to serve the Saudi sport.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud said that SAR 171 millions will be allocated within Support Clubs Strategy including supporting the clubs of Prince Mohamed Bin Salman division one League, division two league and division three league.

SPA chairman confirmed that strengthening governance is one of Support Clubs Strategy goals to help in maintaining the clubs' administrative stability, increasing its independence, eradicating financial deficit and narrowing the gap between the goals and strategies of the clubs and the achieved results.
