SPL Round 5: Al-Shabab held to Al-Taween, Al-Ahli, Al-Nasr, Al-Batin earn victories



Four matches were played on Friday in the second day of round five of Prince Mohamed bin Salman League for Professionals.
Aِt King Abdullah Sport City Stadium, Al-Shabab returned with a 1-1 draw from Al-Taween's home.
Nasser Al-Shamrani put Al-Shabab in front after 3 minutes, but Al-Taween's Heldon Augusto netted the equalizer in the 69th minute.
Al-Shabab's total moved up to 9 points in the 4th place, on the other hand Al-Taween reached 6 points in the 7th spot.
Al-Batin secured a 1-0 away victory over Ohod at Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Stadium.
Fahd Al-Gahni netted the sole goal of Al-Batin in the 93rd minute.
Al-Batin reached 4 points in the 13th place clinching their first victory of the season while Ohod remained 15th with one point.
At King Abdullah Al Jawhara International Stadium Al-Ahli beat their visitors Al-Faisaly 2-0.
Omar Al-Somah broke the deadlock after 10 minutes before a second goal from Jose Manuel Jurado in the 46th minute secured the victory.
Al-Ahli's total moved up to 13 points in the 2nd place while Al-Faisaly's frozen at 4 points in the 11th place.
Al-Nasr thrashed Al-Hazm with an emphatic 5-1 victory at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium.
Al-Nasr goals were scored by Ahmed Mousa, Guliano Victor who scored a brace, Nordin Amrabat and Mohamed Al-Sahlawi in the 26th, 47th, 56th, 74th and 79th minutes while Rodolfo Almeda netted the sole goal of Al-Hazm in the 32nd minute.
Al-Nasr now have 15 points at the top of the league while Al-Hazm have 5 points in the 10th place.
The matchday games were started on Thursday with Al-Fateh and Al-Raed wins over Al-Ittihad and Al-Fayhaa respectively.
On Saturday Al-Qadsya the 10th with 4 points will face Al-Wahda the 6th with 6 points at Prince Saud Bin Jalawi Sport City Stadium.
It must be mentioned that Al-Hilal game with Al-Ittifaq was postponed because of Al-Hilal participation in the Saudi Egyptian super cup against Al-Zamalek on Saturday.
