SPL Association launches sports medicine courses



The advanced courses in managing emergency cases in the field of sports have started on Tuesday morning, at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Hospital for Sports Medicine in Riyadh.
The courses take place in Saudi Arabia for the first time and have been organized by Saudi Pro League Association.
The courses witnessed a number of the recognized coaches from English Football Federation, FA, who have experience in this field.
The courses will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Riyadh and the same courses will be held in Dammam and Jeddah in the coming period and will be attended by a number of specialists (men and women)
The courses will be held in the following periods:

10-11 October (Riyadh) - Women
13-14 October (Riyadh) - Men
16-17 October (Dammam) - Men
20-21 October (Jeddah) - Men
23-24 October (Jeddah) – Men

An Organizing Committee was formed under the supervision of DR/ Mubark Al-Mutawaa with the membership of Azad Jan, Anas Al-Deheshi and Hafiz Ati.
The courses were supervised by the General Sports Authority, Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Hospital for Sports Medicine and Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz College for Emergency Medical Services, King Saud University.
For his part, Dr. Mubarak Al-Mutawaa affirmed that these courses gave the opportunity for those who are interested in the sports field highlighting to the need of sports medicine field in Saudi Arabia to hold this kind of courses as these courses are mandatory for the clubs and for those who provide first aid services inside the pitches.
Al-Mutawaa cleared that those who receive these courses will have a great opportunity to work at the Saudi clubs and making them eligible to work at the European clubs also.
