Al-Nassr restore the lead by beating Al-Taawoun 2-1



Al-Nassr came back from behind to beat Al-Taawoun 2-1 on Friday at the end of the second day of the eleventh round of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman  Professionals Cup League.

Al-Taawoun surprised Al-Nassr with a goal by Cédric Amissi in the 19th minute, after a mistake from goalkeeper Brad Jones.

Al-Nassr waited 12 minutes until Brazilian Giuliano de Paula equalized with a shot from inside the penalty area in the 31st minute, before Abdel Fattah Adam added the second goal of Al-Nassr in the 38th minute after he received Sultan Al-Ghanam's cross with his right foot in the goal.

The match saw Al-Taawoun's player Madallah Alolayan sent off after receiving his second yellow card in the 82nd minute.

With that result, Al-Nassr returned to the top temporarily with 23 points, while Al-Taawoun balance stopped at 19 points in fifth place.
