SPL Awards SSC Satellite and Digital Broadcast Rights

The Saudi Pro League (SPL) has announced the official awarding of satellite and digital broadcast rights of the 2021-22 MBS Pro League for one season to Saudi Sports Company (SSC).
According to the agreement, SSC shall operate TV broadcasting of the MBS Pro League, broadcast matches through its satellite and digital channels for the 2021-22 season, applying standards that meet the expectations of Saudi football fans in the kingdom and abroad.
On a related note, the SPL in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), in a joint effort to develop TV broadcast of Saudi domestic competitions over the next few years, will soon issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to interested TV channels and broadcasters for the broadcast rights of Saudi domestic football competitions starting from the 2022-23 season.
This step represents an effort from the SPL & SAFF to develop a media platform capable of providing TV broadcast in line with the burgeoning reputation of Saudi football, locally, regionally, and internationally, as well as meeting the expectations of the supporters, diversifying income sources for clubs by boosting broadcast revenues to reach an exceptional level of broadcast in line with the Saudi Vision 2030’s Quality of Life Program objectives.
