Second half goals lead Al-Hilal to end Al-Ittihad lossless run
Al-Hilal overcame Al-Ittihad 2-0 in their game in the 21st round of Prince Mohammed bin Salman League for Professionals.
Bafetimbi Gomis and Salim El-Dossari scored Al-Hilal goals in the 67th and 82nd minutes.
Al-Hilal extended their lead at the top of the league by reaching 52 points, 9 points ahead of Al-Nasr the second with a game in hand, while Al-Ittihad lie 15th with 15 points.
Al-Hilal handed their hosts their first loss in 2019 after five games saw two wins and three draws for Jeddah team.
At Al-Hazm Stadium Al-Ittifaq gained a 1-1 draw with the hosts.
The two goals scored from penalty kicks awarded in the space of three minutes.
Wagner Alemao put Al-Hazm in front in the 67th minute before Cristian Guanca levelled the result in the 70th minute.
Al-Ittifaq's total moved up to 28 points in the 8th spot, while Al-Hazm reached 23 points in the 12th place on the table.
The round games will be resumed on Friday with three matches, between Al-Taween and Al-Batin, Al-Qadsya against Al-Shabab and finally Al-Wahda versus Ohod.
