Saudi Professional League Association announced organizing a ceremony to honor the stars of 2018-2019 season for the first time in its history, as the ceremony will be held on Saturday May 18th, in the presence of a large number of sports figures.
The Technical Committee of SPL will give 6 prizes will be classified as the following: the best player award, the best coach award, the best promising Saudi player award, the best Saudi player award, the golden boot award and the golden glove award.
The committee completed establishing technical standards to choose the best in each category; as every winner will get 100 thousands SAR for each, in the ceremony which will be held on May 18th after the end of the last round of Prince Mohamed Bin Salman League for Professionals.
Five players will be chosen in each category, in accordance with technical criteria adopted, except for the golden boot and the golden glove awards.
Four categories will choose the best in the season, according to the classification adopted by the Technical Committee, as the fans will determine 25 % of award via voting, the 16 coaches of the league will vote to choose the best in the season representing 25 % of the selection, the same ratio will be handed to the captains of the teams in addition to a number of the sports journalists will represent also a 25 % ratio of the selection.
Voting for fans will be available via "Dawry Plus" application, with a ratio of 25 % of the voting.
