Al-Itefaq have appointed former Saudi Arabia U-19 national team coach, Sergio Bernas, until the end of the season, to replace Uruguayan Leonardo Ramos who left the club last Tuesday.
Bernas was appointed as an interim coach on November 27th, for his experience in the Saudi football, as he led The Saudi under nineteen national team from 2012 till 2014.
The Spanish also, served as an assistant coach for the Saudi first team in 2014.
He took charge of Ateltico Madrid youth Academy in 2015, while he has started his relationship with Al-Itefaq in 2017/2018 season with managing Al-Itefaq youth team.
In the last weeks of 2017/2018 season he was joined the first team technical staff, as an assistant to the Saudi coach Saad El-Shehri, before continuing in the same position with Uruguayan Leonardo Ramos.
Al-Itefaq will meet Qadsya in the Eastern region derby next Thursday, in Prince Mohamed Bin Slaman League for Professionals matchday 12.
