SPL discusses digital innovations with Bundesliga



 

  A delegation from Saudi Professional League Association, discussed, the latest digital innovations in football industry, during a meeting with Mr. Andreas Haiden, digital innovation manager in Bundesliga association, along with the best ways of interacting with fans digitally.

This came within SPL association participation, in the annual meeting of the World Leagues Forum (WLF), which was hosted by  Moroccan Premier League (MPL) association in Marrakesh, Morocco, on November 14th and 15th, in the presence of Fédération Internationale de Football Association, FIFA, representatives and International Football Association Board, IFAB, representatives, in addition to 34 football leagues across the world.

SPL delegation, which was chaired by President, Mosali Al Muammar and included Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Abdelaziz Al-Hemedi, International Relations Officer, Abdelaziz Al-Qahtani, discussed the best practices with advanced football associations in football industry and to what extent it is possible to align these experiences through cooperation agreements, which may contribute to the development and enhancement of SPL successes.

The two-day annual meeting, witnessed, continued workshops and sessions of talks, with FIFA and IFAB, as a lot of discussions were held, on the implementation of the Professional Football programmes, FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in China in 2021 and the ways to achieve the competitive balance.

In the same context, world football associations welcomed the agreement of WLF with FIFA on developing professional football, through which the league and FIFA will work to improve the structures of administration and ots measures, in professional football across the world.

The meeting approved also establishing a task force to combat racism, which will be responsible for identifying best practices and making recommendations to combat racism in football stadiums worldwide.
