SPL matchday 27: Jeddah giants hand Al-Hilal leadership .. Ohod relegated



Al-Hilal restored the leadership of Prince Mohamed Bin Salman League for Professionals, by the end of round 27, after losing it to Al-Nasr in the 25th round, by beating Al-Ahli 1-0 to reach 63 points two points ahead of Al-Nasr who dropped second after suffering a 3-2 home defeat to Al-Ittihad, while Ohod became the first team to be relegated in the season after receiving a 3-1 home loss to AL-Fayhaa, as their total account frozen at 15 points in the 16th place.
Al-Shabab with 50 points, Al-Taween with 49 points and Al-Ahli with 46 points retained the positions from the 3rd until the 5th in a row.
Al-Shabab overcame Al-Batin 2-1, Al-Taween beat Al-Qadsya 2-0 while Al-Ahli suffered a 1-0 loss to Al-Hilal.
The three teams compete for Asian Champions League spots in the next season.
Al-Faisaly jumped 6th with 40 points, after beating Al-Wahda 2-1, as Al-Wahda dropped 7th with 39 points, while Al-Fateh remained 8th with 35 points after holding a goalless draw with Al-Ittifaq the 9th with 33 points.
In spite of Al-Raed 1-0 defeat to Al-Hazm, they stayed 10th with 31 points while Al-Hazm became 11th after reaching 30 points.
Al-Ittihad jumped 12th with 28 points after beating Al-Nasr 3-2, ahead of AL-Fayhaa the 13th on goal difference.
Al-Qadsya dropped 14th with 27 points, followed by Al-Batin the 15th with 23 points and finally Ohod come at the bottom of the table with 15 points.
621 goals were scored in 216 matches, as Al-Hilal have the best attack with 62 goals and Al-Shabab have the best defense with conceding only 22 goals, while Ohod have the worst attack with scoring only 22 goals and receiving 57 goals.
Al-Nasr's Moroccan striker Abdel Razik Hamdalla equaled Al-Ahli's Omar Al-Somah record for the most goals scored in a season with 27 goals.
Hamdalla stays atop goal scorers list, with 27 goals, followed by Al-Hilal's Bafetmbu Gomis and Al-Taween's Leandre Tawamba with 19 goals for each, then Al-Ahli's duo Omar Al-Somah and Djaniny Tavares with 16 goals for each.
Al-Ittihad's Fahd Al-Moled has equaled Al-Raed's Saleh Al-Shehri as the best Saudi striker in the league by reaching 11 goals.
Moroccan Nordin Amrabat from Al-Nasr is the player with most assists in the league with 10 goals, three goals ahead of Al-Ittihad's Al-Moled, Al-Hilal's duo Gomis and Arndrie Carillo and Al-Taween's Heldon Augsto.
Al-Ahli game with Al-Hilal recorded the highest attendance figures with 33868, followed by Al-Nasr's game with Al-Ittihad with 30018 while Al-Wahda game with Al-Faisaly recorded the lowest attendance figures in the round with 437.
